Customer service needs work

The banking products at Intesa Sanpaolo are okay, but their customer service is genuinely poor. I waited 45 minutes on hold to ask a simple question about my statement. When I finally got through, the agent couldn't help and transferred me to another department where I waited again. Very frustrating experience.

Pros: Online banking works adequately

Cons: Terrible hold times, unhelpful customer service

Outstanding banking experience

I've been banking with Intesa Sanpaolo for over three years now and the service has been consistently excellent. Their online platform is intuitive, transfers are fast, and whenever I've needed to speak to someone, the customer service team has been helpful and professional. Interest rates on savings are competitive too. Highly recommend.

Pros: Modern app, great customer service, competitive rates

Cons: Branch hours could be longer

Happy customer overall

Using Intesa Sanpaolo for my personal and business accounts. The business banking side is especially good - statements are clear, international payments work well, and the relationship manager assigned to me is knowledgeable. Personal banking side is average but reliable. Would recommend for business customers.

Pros: Great business banking, clear statements, good RM

Cons: Personal banking is just average

Disappointing experience overall

I opened an account with Intesa Sanpaolo expecting better based on their marketing. The account opening process took forever, they kept asking for the same documents, and once the account was open the service didn't improve. Fees higher than advertised and interest rates lower than competitors.

Pros: None that I can think of

Cons: Slow processes, misleading advertising, high fees
