My initial quote from Allstate was very competitive. However, the renewal price was 30% higher with no claims made. Had to phone and negotiate to get a reasonable price. The policy itself is fine but the practice of inflating renewal prices is frustrating and feels dishonest.

Allstate provides standard insurance products at standard prices. Nothing bad to say but nothing remarkable either. The website works, the documents arrive on time, and the policy does what it says. If you're just looking for basic, no-fuss insurance, they're fine.
