The website impersonates Hash Blockchain Limited, which is a virtual asset trading platform licensed by the SFC. The website is not related to the licensed virtual asset trading platform. The website has frozen a victim’s account, falsely claiming it is because of an investigation by Hong Kong Monetary Authority on money laundering issues, and demanded the victim to pay exorbitant "security deposits" before he can withdraw his funds.
