The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam in which a legitimate DFSA authorised firm, Dalma Capital Management Limited (Dalma), was impersonated.
On a website, the scammers claim to be a firm called “D Finance Capital Management Ltd” which offers financial services, including personal loans at an upfront processing fee, to the public. The scammers:
- falsely state that D Finance Capital Management Ltd is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA Ref. F002345)”. “F002345” is the genuine DFSA licence number of Dalma; and
- fraudulently use Dalma’s actual logo, office address and phone number.
The DFSA confirms that D Finance Capital Management Ltd:
- is not incorporated or located in the DIFC; and
- is not, and has never been, authorised or registered by the DFSA.
