Trek (Imposter)

Trek (Imposter) offers copy trading. I copied a top trader. The copy trades often executed at worse prices than the original. When I asked why they said it was due to latency and liquidity. So the feature is broken or they are skimming. Either way I stopped using it.

I lost a significant amount because Trek (Imposter) did not execute my stop loss during a flash crash. They said the market was illiquid. Other brokers managed to execute. I have no proof they did not trade against me. Avoid.

After spending for close to eighteen months trying to make Trek (Imposter) work for me, I have given up. The platform has too many limitations, the fees are not competitive, and the quality of their market data is questionable. There are much better options available.

After since mid-2025 with Trek (Imposter), I can only describe the experience as death by a thousand cuts. No single issue was catastrophic, but the constant stream of small problems, slow responses, and missing features wore me down until I finally left.

I was about to invest with Trek (Imposter) but decided to check their regulatory status first. They claim to be regulated but I could not find them on any official register. Financial Markets Authority has actually issued a warning about this firm. Thank goodness I checked before sending any money.

I requested my data from Trek (Imposter) under GDPR. They sent a partial export that was missing months of transactions. When I asked for the rest they said it was a technical issue. Still waiting. They do not take data rights seriously.

I invested $25,000 with Trek (Imposter) after seeing their professional-looking website. At first, everything seemed fine - they showed me impressive returns on my dashboard. But when I tried to withdraw, they kept making excuses. First it was "processing time," then "verification needed," then "you need to pay a tax fee first." I never got my money back. I have since reported them to Financial Markets Authority.

If you are reading this considering Trek (Imposter) - run. I wish I had read more negative reviews after attending a webinar they hosted. I thought the positive ones were real. Maybe some are. My experience over for a few weeks now has been so bad I feel obligated to warn others. Do not make my mistake.

Do not use Trek (Imposter) for anything serious. I used them since I retired last year for small trades and it was okay. When I deposited a larger amount and traded more, my account was flagged, my withdrawals were delayed, and I was asked to explain my trading. They treat active traders like criminals.

My withdrawal request from Trek (Imposter) has been pending for over two weeks now. Every time I contact support, I get the same copy-paste response about processing times. This is unacceptable for a financial platform in this day and age.
