Trade & Clear Ltd

I opened an account with Trade & Clear Ltd for about ten months ago. The platform frequently logs you out, orders fail to execute at the stated price, and when you complain they blame your internet connection. I have screenshots proving otherwise.

I found Trade & Clear Ltd when my bank disappointed me and I searched for alternatives and the initial impression was positive. But for over three years later, I have encountered so many issues that I cannot recommend them. Trades failing, charts not loading, and support tickets going unanswered for days at a time.

My card was charged twice by Trade & Clear Ltd on the same day. I had to dispute it with my bank. Trade & Clear Ltd then froze my account and said I had a negative balance because of the chargeback. They created the problem and then punished me for it.

Trade & Clear Ltd changed their fee structure with one month notice. What was a flat fee became a percentage. For my account size it meant a huge increase. When I objected they said I could leave. So I am leaving and writing this review.

I had high hopes for Trade & Clear Ltd after seeing their ad online, but my experience has been disappointing. Customer support is slow, the platform has frequent issues, and their fee structure is not as transparent as advertised. I am actively looking for alternatives now.

I lost a significant amount because Trade & Clear Ltd did not execute my stop loss during a flash crash. They said the market was illiquid. Other brokers managed to execute. I have no proof they did not trade against me. Avoid.

Do not use Trade & Clear Ltd for anything serious. I used them since last summer for small trades and it was okay. When I deposited a larger amount and traded more, my account was flagged, my withdrawals were delayed, and I was asked to explain my trading. They treat active traders like criminals.

The only good thing about Trade & Clear Ltd is that they remind you why regulation matters. I found them through a financial advisor. They are regulated in a jurisdiction with weak consumer protection. When things went wrong I had nowhere to turn. Stick to well-regulated brokers.

I had a dispute with Trade & Clear Ltd and went to their complaints process. They have an internal team that just defends the company. Then they said I could go to an ombudsman - but the ombudsman they use is industry-funded and rarely rules for the client. The system is rigged.
