The Golden Shark

I closed a profitable position at The Golden Shark and the profit was not credited for 5 days. Support said it was a settlement delay. When it finally arrived it was less than the amount shown on the platform. They could not explain the difference. I have moved my account.

I invested $10,000 with The Golden Shark after seeing their professional-looking website. At first, everything seemed fine - they showed me impressive returns on my dashboard. But when I tried to withdraw, they kept making excuses. First it was "processing time," then "verification needed," then "you need to pay a tax fee first." I never got my money back. I have since reported them to Financial Conduct Authority.

The platform itself is okay, but the customer service at The Golden Shark is truly awful. I waited weeks for a response to a simple inquiry. When they did respond, it felt like a generic template that did not address my specific issue at all.

I wanted to transfer my portfolio from another broker to The Golden Shark. They said they do not accept in-kind transfers for my asset type. I had to sell, withdraw, deposit, and rebuy - incurring taxes and spread costs. They did not tell me this before I signed up.

I trusted The Golden Shark with a significant portion of my savings and I deeply regret that decision. Not because of market losses, but because of how poorly the platform performed and how dismissively the support team treated my concerns.

The hidden fees at The Golden Shark are the real scandal here. What they advertise and what they actually charge are two different things. By the time I realized how much I was paying in various fees and spreads, I had already lost a meaningful amount.

The so-called education at The Golden Shark is just marketing. Every webinar ends with a push to deposit more. The market analysis is generic and often wrong. If you want real education go elsewhere. I wasted for about five months thinking they would help me learn.

After for about eight months with The Golden Shark I requested to close my account and withdraw. They said I had to complete a 30-day cooling-off period. Then they said there was a minimum holding period for my last deposit. They make it as hard as possible to leave.

I was about to invest with The Golden Shark but decided to check their regulatory status first. They claim to be regulated but I could not find them on any official register. Financial Conduct Authority has actually issued a warning about this firm. Thank goodness I checked before sending any money.

If you are reading this considering The Golden Shark - run. I wish I had read more negative reviews from a blog post comparing services. I thought the positive ones were real. Maybe some are. My experience over for close to eighteen months has been so bad I feel obligated to warn others. Do not make my mistake.
