Do not believe the bonus offer from Step One Markets. The turnover requirement is designed so you can never withdraw. I learned the hard way. I deposited while looking for alternatives to my previous provider and the bonus terms were buried in pages of small print. My fault for not reading but their design is predatory.

Pros: Professional team|Educational resources

Cons: Website design could be more modern

Lost money due to their incompetence

I had a dispute with Step One Markets and went to their complaints process. They have an internal team that just defends the company. Then they said I could go to an ombudsman - but the ombudsman they use is industry-funded and rarely rules for the client. The system is rigged.

Pros: Multi-device support|Demo account available|Risk management tools

Cons: Search feature is basic

Do your due diligence first

For anyone considering Step One Markets, please be aware that this company has been flagged by Financial Conduct Authority. This does not necessarily mean they are a scam, but it does mean they may not be authorized to operate in certain jurisdictions. I strongly recommend checking the official regulator website before making any investment decisions.

After seeing ads for Step One Markets online, I investigated. The company is listed in the IOSCO I-SCAN warnings database and has been flagged by Financial Conduct Authority. Their website looks professional but that means nothing - many scam operations invest heavily in appearance. Always check the regulatory warnings before investing.

Cons: Listed in warning databases|No transparency|Pressure to invest quickly

Warning to all investors

I want to warn everyone about Step One Markets. They have been flagged by Financial Conduct Authority as an unauthorized entity. I wish I had checked before investing. They use high-pressure sales tactics and fake testimonials. Once you send money, getting it back is nearly impossible.

Cons: Blocked my account|No legitimate license|Fake returns

Misleading advertising

The mobile app from Step One Markets is dangerous. I placed an order that showed as pending, so I placed another. Both executed and I was overexposed. When I complained they said it was user error. The app design is misleading.

Pros: Professional team|Educational resources|Fast execution

Cons: Charting tools need more indicators

Banned for no reason

The reporting at Step One Markets is laughably bad. Tax documents are inaccurate, transaction histories have gaps, and trying to export data for your accountant is a nightmare. For a financial platform, getting the numbers right should be the bare minimum.

Pros: Low minimum deposit|Wide product range|Copy trading available

Cons: Spreads widen during volatile periods|Search feature is basic
