I found Stack Options through a financial advisor and the initial impression was positive. But for over three years later, I have encountered so many issues that I cannot recommend them. Trades failing, charts not loading, and support tickets going unanswered for days at a time.

Pros: Two-factor authentication|Good mobile app

Cons: Nothing significant|Could offer more webinars

I wanted to transfer my portfolio from another broker to Stack Options. They said they do not accept in-kind transfers for my asset type. I had to sell, withdraw, deposit, and rebuy - incurring taxes and spread costs. They did not tell me this before I signed up.

Pros: Dividend tracking|Easy to use platform

Cons: Minimum deposit could be lower|Research section could be deeper

No way to escalate complaints

I requested my data from Stack Options under GDPR. They sent a partial export that was missing months of transactions. When I asked for the rest they said it was a technical issue. Still waiting. They do not take data rights seriously.

Pros: Good mobile app|Fast deposits|Great customer service

Cons: Limited social trading features|No dark mode on mobile

Horrible from beginning to end

The so-called education at Stack Options is just marketing. Every webinar ends with a push to deposit more. The market analysis is generic and often wrong. If you want real education go elsewhere. I wasted for a couple of months now thinking they would help me learn.

Pros: Economic calendar|Dividend tracking|Responsive team

Cons: No fractional shares

Arbitration clause traps you

I lost a significant amount because Stack Options did not execute my stop loss during a flash crash. They said the market was illiquid. Other brokers managed to execute. I have no proof they did not trade against me. Avoid.

Pros: Clean UI|Fast deposits|Dividend tracking

Cons: Live chat only during business hours|Spreads widen during volatile periods
