Porter Finance

Porter Finance seems more interested in acquiring new customers than taking care of existing ones. The marketing is aggressive but the product is mediocre. Once you are past the honeymoon period, the cracks in their service become very apparent.

Opened my account with Porter Finance after reading several online reviews and regretted it within the first month. The platform crashed during a critical moment, I lost potential gains, and support basically told me it was not their problem. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

Porter Finance has the worst mobile app I have ever used for investing. It crashes constantly, features that work on desktop are missing entirely, and the security implementation is questionable at best. How they released this app is beyond me.

Do not be fooled by the professional-looking website. Behind the scenes, Porter Finance is disorganized and incompetent. I found them through a forum discussion and I can only assume the positive reviews are either outdated or paid for because my experience was terrible.

I referred a friend to Porter Finance after hearing about them at a conference. We both deposited. The referral bonus never arrived. Support said we did not meet the terms. When we asked which terms they pointed to a clause that was added after we signed up. Shady.

Porter Finance had an outage that lasted several hours during a major market event. Not only did they fail to prevent it, but they also failed to communicate what was happening. We were left in the dark while our investments were at risk.

I wanted to transfer my portfolio from another broker to Porter Finance. They said they do not accept in-kind transfers for my asset type. I had to sell, withdraw, deposit, and rebuy - incurring taxes and spread costs. They did not tell me this before I signed up.
