The so-called education at New York Options Exchange is just marketing. Every webinar ends with a push to deposit more. The market analysis is generic and often wrong. If you want real education go elsewhere. I wasted since last summer thinking they would help me learn.

Pros: Easy withdrawals|Reliable uptime|Copy trading available|Portfolio tracking tools

Cons: Minimum deposit could be lower

Unresponsive and unhelpful

Do not use New York Options Exchange for anything serious. I used them for just over a year for small trades and it was okay. When I deposited a larger amount and traded more, my account was flagged, my withdrawals were delayed, and I was asked to explain my trading. They treat active traders like criminals.

Pros: Instant funding|Market news feed|Reliable uptime

Cons: Wish they had more educational resources|No fractional shares

Trust broken beyond repair

If you are reading this considering New York Options Exchange - run. I wish I had read more negative reviews through a podcast recommendation. I thought the positive ones were real. Maybe some are. My experience over for over a year has been so bad I feel obligated to warn others. Do not make my mistake.

Pros: Multi-currency support|Good analytical tools

Cons: Limited cryptocurrency options|Would like more payment methods

Billing department is a black hole

I experienced a security concern with my New York Options Exchange account and reported it immediately. Their response time was inexcusable for a financial platform. It took them four days to acknowledge my report and another week to actually address it.

Pros: Customizable dashboard|Dividend tracking|Quick verification|Segregated accounts

Cons: Slow to add new assets|Onboarding videos are outdated

Account locked for no reason

I found New York Options Exchange when my bank disappointed me and I searched for alternatives and the initial impression was positive. But for nearly two years later, I have encountered so many issues that I cannot recommend them. Trades failing, charts not loading, and support tickets going unanswered for days at a time.

Pros: Detailed reporting|Copy trading available|Multiple order types

Cons: Help articles are sometimes vague

They make everything difficult

I requested my data from New York Options Exchange under GDPR. They sent a partial export that was missing months of transactions. When I asked for the rest they said it was a technical issue. Still waiting. They do not take data rights seriously.

Pros: High security standards|Risk management tools

Cons: Some tools only available on higher tiers|Limited cryptocurrency options

Dealing desk manipulation

I closed a profitable position at New York Options Exchange and the profit was not credited for 5 days. Support said it was a settlement delay. When it finally arrived it was less than the amount shown on the platform. They could not explain the difference. I have moved my account.

Pros: Good mobile app|Low minimum deposit

Cons: No phone support on weekends

Reseller could not help

New York Options Exchange changed their fee structure with one month notice. What was a flat fee became a percentage. For my account size it meant a huge increase. When I objected they said I could leave. So I am leaving and writing this review.

Pros: Dedicated account manager|Responsive team|Reliable uptime|Wide product range

Cons: Email notifications too frequent|Limited demo account features

Still fighting for my withdrawal

After for roughly four months with New York Options Exchange I requested to close my account and withdraw. They said I had to complete a 30-day cooling-off period. Then they said there was a minimum holding period for my last deposit. They make it as hard as possible to leave.

Pros: Easy withdrawals|Segregated accounts|Portfolio tracking tools|Multiple order types

Cons: Desktop app not available on Linux

Withdrawal limits are a trap

I had a dispute with New York Options Exchange and went to their complaints process. They have an internal team that just defends the company. Then they said I could go to an ombudsman - but the ombudsman they use is industry-funded and rarely rules for the client. The system is rigged.

Pros: Competitive fees|Personal attention|Transparent fees

Cons: No dark mode on mobile|Spreads widen during volatile periods
