Mutable Capital

Mutable Capital changed their fee structure with one month notice. What was a flat fee became a percentage. For my account size it meant a huge increase. When I objected they said I could leave. So I am leaving and writing this review.

The hidden fees at Mutable Capital are the real scandal here. What they advertise and what they actually charge are two different things. By the time I realized how much I was paying in various fees and spreads, I had already lost a meaningful amount.

Tried to withdraw my funds from Mutable Capital and was told I needed to pay a "withdrawal tax" of 20%. This is a red flag. No legitimate broker charges withdrawal taxes. When I refused, they became aggressive and eventually stopped all communication. My entire investment is gone.

I found this company through a friend who recommended it. Before investing, I checked various regulatory databases and found that Mutable Capital has been flagged as an unauthorized entity. I informed my friend immediately. Please always verify with official sources - a quick search could save you thousands.

After using Mutable Capital for roughly four months, I decided to move my account elsewhere. The platform was unreliable, withdrawals took an unreasonable amount of time, and I could never get a straight answer from customer service. Frustrating experience overall.

What really bothers me about Mutable Capital is the disconnect between their marketing and reality. They position themselves as a premium service but deliver a below-average experience. Found them while looking for alternatives to my previous provider and I fell for the polished exterior. Never again.

After since early this year with Mutable Capital, I can only describe the experience as death by a thousand cuts. No single issue was catastrophic, but the constant stream of small problems, slow responses, and missing features wore me down until I finally left.

Their execution during news is terrible. I had limit orders in place. When the news hit, my orders were not filled at the limit price - they were filled much worse. Mutable Capital said it was market conditions. Same news, another broker filled me properly. They are not honest.

I experienced a security concern with my Mutable Capital account and reported it immediately. Their response time was inexcusable for a financial platform. It took them four days to acknowledge my report and another week to actually address it.

The reporting at Mutable Capital is laughably bad. Tax documents are inaccurate, transaction histories have gaps, and trying to export data for your accountant is a nightmare. For a financial platform, getting the numbers right should be the bare minimum.
