Frustrating from start to finish

I opened an account with MarketsCap (marketscap.com) for over three years ago. The platform frequently logs you out, orders fail to execute at the stated price, and when you complain they blame your internet connection. I have screenshots proving otherwise.

Pros: API access|Responsive team|Full transparency

Cons: Slow to add new assets

Closure fee on top of everything

What really bothers me about MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is the disconnect between their marketing and reality. They position themselves as a premium service but deliver a below-average experience. Found them through word of mouth in my investment club and I fell for the polished exterior. Never again.

Pros: Personal attention|Social trading features|Transparent fees

Cons: No integrated tax optimization

Currency margin requirements unclear

The reporting at MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is laughably bad. Tax documents are inaccurate, transaction histories have gaps, and trying to export data for your accountant is a nightmare. For a financial platform, getting the numbers right should be the bare minimum.

Pros: Fast deposits|Transparent fees|Multiple order types|Helpful community forum

Cons: Desktop app not available on Linux|Would like more payment methods

Account restricted after profit

The platform at MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is riddled with bugs. Charts display incorrect data, order confirmations sometimes fail silently, and the portfolio tracker disagrees with actual positions. After for a couple of months now of dealing with this, I have had enough.

Pros: Fast execution|API access|Competitive fees

Cons: Wish they had more educational resources

Account closure takes 30 days

MarketsCap (marketscap.com) had an outage that lasted several hours during a major market event. Not only did they fail to prevent it, but they also failed to communicate what was happening. We were left in the dark while our investments were at risk.

Pros: Social trading features|Good analytical tools

Cons: None so far

After since last summer with MarketsCap (marketscap.com), I can only describe the experience as death by a thousand cuts. No single issue was catastrophic, but the constant stream of small problems, slow responses, and missing features wore me down until I finally left.

Pros: Clean UI|Social trading features

Cons: Minor UI glitches occasionally|Would like more payment methods

Banned for no reason

KYC with MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is a nightmare. I submitted my ID and proof of address. They rejected it and asked for a utility bill. I sent it. They asked for a bank statement. Then they asked for a selfie with the ID. Then they said the selfie did not match. I gave up.

Pros: High security standards|Educational resources

Cons: No integrated tax optimization

Misleading advertising

After spending since last summer trying to make MarketsCap (marketscap.com) work for me, I have given up. The platform has too many limitations, the fees are not competitive, and the quality of their market data is questionable. There are much better options available.

Pros: Smooth onboarding|Tax reports included|Copy trading available

Cons: Wait times can be long during peak hours|Could offer more webinars

The only good thing about MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is that they remind you why regulation matters. I found them while looking for alternatives to my previous provider. They are regulated in a jurisdiction with weak consumer protection. When things went wrong I had nowhere to turn. Stick to well-regulated brokers.

Pros: Instant funding|Transparent fees

Cons: Limited social trading features

No sub-accounts

The platform itself is okay, but the customer service at MarketsCap (marketscap.com) is truly awful. I waited weeks for a response to a simple inquiry. When they did respond, it felt like a generic template that did not address my specific issue at all.

Pros: Real-time alerts|Easy to use platform|Excellent charting

Cons: Wait times can be long during peak hours
