Interactive Brokers has a great platform with lots of features. However, the fee structure can be confusing and small trades can be expensive relative to the investment amount. For larger portfolios it makes more sense. Customer service is decent but not outstanding. Worth considering if you trade frequently.

Trading with Interactive Brokers for about a year now. The platform is stable and I haven't experienced any downtime during market hours. Charting tools are comprehensive. Margin rates are competitive. Only gripe is that some order types aren't available on mobile, so I need to use desktop for complex trades.

I was generally happy with Interactive Brokers until I experienced platform slowdowns during high-volatility market events. Twice I couldn't execute trades when I needed to most. They offered no compensation. For calm market conditions it's fine, but I can't trust it when it matters most.

The ISA and pension wrappers are straightforward to use. Transfers from my old broker were handled smoothly. Very satisfied.
