The only good thing about Hamilton and Hughes Associates is that they remind you why regulation matters. I found them through a podcast recommendation. They are regulated in a jurisdiction with weak consumer protection. When things went wrong I had nowhere to turn. Stick to well-regulated brokers.

Pros: Economic calendar|Clear documentation

Cons: Currency conversion fee exists

Tax documents wrong every year

Their execution during news is terrible. I had limit orders in place. When the news hit, my orders were not filled at the limit price - they were filled much worse. Hamilton and Hughes Associates said it was market conditions. Same news, another broker filled me properly. They are not honest.

Pros: Dedicated account manager|Responsive team|Demo account available|Regular updates

Cons: Some tools only available on higher tiers|Mobile app could be improved

Account manager disappeared after deposit

My withdrawal from Hamilton and Hughes Associates was rejected three times for vague reasons. Each time they asked for more documents. When I finally provided everything, they said my account was under review. since early this year of being strung along.

Pros: Automated trading options|Instant funding

Cons: Account statements could be more detailed

They blocked me after I invested

I want to warn everyone about Hamilton and Hughes Associates. They have been flagged by Financial Conduct Authority as an unauthorized entity. I wish I had checked before investing. They use high-pressure sales tactics and fake testimonials. Once you send money, getting it back is nearly impossible.

Pros: Professional looking website

Cons: Lost entire investment|Reported to authorities|Unresponsive

Hamilton and Hughes Associates has the worst mobile app I have ever used for investing. It crashes constantly, features that work on desktop are missing entirely, and the security implementation is questionable at best. How they released this app is beyond me.

Pros: Good analytical tools|Segregated accounts|Tax reports included|Multi-currency support

Cons: No live chat on mobile

Not regulated - verified this myself

After seeing ads for Hamilton and Hughes Associates online, I investigated. The company is listed in the IOSCO I-SCAN warnings database and has been flagged by Financial Conduct Authority. Their website looks professional but that means nothing - many scam operations invest heavily in appearance. Always check the regulatory warnings before investing.

Cons: Unauthorized firm|Found in IOSCO warnings database

They need a complete overhaul

Their two-factor authentication was optional when I joined. I enabled it. Later I lost my phone and could not log in. Hamilton and Hughes Associates recovery process took 3 weeks and required notarized documents. By then I had missed important trades. Their security is your inconvenience.

Pros: Detailed reporting|Good analytical tools

Cons: Wait times can be long during peak hours|Limited demo account features

Do your due diligence first

I joined Hamilton and Hughes Associates through a financial advisor and from the start, things felt off. The signup process collected far more personal information than necessary, the verification took unreasonably long, and when I finally got access, the platform was nothing like what was advertised.

Pros: Good mobile app|Regular platform improvements|Wide product range

Cons: Search feature is basic

Nothing but problems since day one

Hamilton and Hughes Associates seems more interested in acquiring new customers than taking care of existing ones. The marketing is aggressive but the product is mediocre. Once you are past the honeymoon period, the cracks in their service become very apparent.

Pros: Multiple order types|API access|Clean UI|Comprehensive tools

Cons: None so far|Mobile app could be improved
