Hakes Investments seems more interested in acquiring new customers than taking care of existing ones. The marketing is aggressive but the product is mediocre. Once you are past the honeymoon period, the cracks in their service become very apparent.

After spending since early this year trying to make Hakes Investments work for me, I have given up. The platform has too many limitations, the fees are not competitive, and the quality of their market data is questionable. There are much better options available.

I have been trying to close my account with Hakes Investments for weeks now and they keep giving me the runaround. First it was a form to fill out, then identity verification again, then a mandatory phone call that never gets scheduled. They make leaving impossible.

I want to warn everyone about Hakes Investments. They have been flagged by Guernsey Financial Services Commission as an unauthorized entity. I wish I had checked before investing. They use high-pressure sales tactics and fake testimonials. Once you send money, getting it back is nearly impossible.

I closed a profitable position at Hakes Investments and the profit was not credited for 5 days. Support said it was a settlement delay. When it finally arrived it was less than the amount shown on the platform. They could not explain the difference. I have moved my account.

After for nearly two years with Hakes Investments I requested to close my account and withdraw. They said I had to complete a 30-day cooling-off period. Then they said there was a minimum holding period for my last deposit. They make it as hard as possible to leave.

Their execution during news is terrible. I had limit orders in place. When the news hit, my orders were not filled at the limit price - they were filled much worse. Hakes Investments said it was market conditions. Same news, another broker filled me properly. They are not honest.

Hakes Investments advertises low fees but once you dig into the fine print, there are numerous charges that add up quickly. Inactivity fees, withdrawal fees, currency conversion fees - it all eats into your returns. I wish I had read the terms more carefully.

The hidden fees at Hakes Investments are the real scandal here. What they advertise and what they actually charge are two different things. By the time I realized how much I was paying in various fees and spreads, I had already lost a meaningful amount.
