FTO Capital

Do not believe the bonus offer from FTO Capital. The turnover requirement is designed so you can never withdraw. I learned the hard way. I deposited through word of mouth in my investment club and the bonus terms were buried in pages of small print. My fault for not reading but their design is predatory.

KYC with FTO Capital is a nightmare. I submitted my ID and proof of address. They rejected it and asked for a utility bill. I sent it. They asked for a bank statement. Then they asked for a selfie with the ID. Then they said the selfie did not match. I gave up.

After for a couple of months now with FTO Capital I requested to close my account and withdraw. They said I had to complete a 30-day cooling-off period. Then they said there was a minimum holding period for my last deposit. They make it as hard as possible to leave.

My withdrawal from FTO Capital was rejected three times for vague reasons. Each time they asked for more documents. When I finally provided everything, they said my account was under review. for over a year of being strung along.

I closed a profitable position at FTO Capital and the profit was not credited for 5 days. Support said it was a settlement delay. When it finally arrived it was less than the amount shown on the platform. They could not explain the difference. I have moved my account.

My card was charged twice by FTO Capital on the same day. I had to dispute it with my bank. FTO Capital then froze my account and said I had a negative balance because of the chargeback. They created the problem and then punished me for it.

I wanted to transfer my portfolio from another broker to FTO Capital. They said they do not accept in-kind transfers for my asset type. I had to sell, withdraw, deposit, and rebuy - incurring taxes and spread costs. They did not tell me this before I signed up.

FTO Capital had an outage that lasted several hours during a major market event. Not only did they fail to prevent it, but they also failed to communicate what was happening. We were left in the dark while our investments were at risk.

I requested my data from FTO Capital under GDPR. They sent a partial export that was missing months of transactions. When I asked for the rest they said it was a technical issue. Still waiting. They do not take data rights seriously.

FTO Capital advertises low fees but once you dig into the fine print, there are numerous charges that add up quickly. Inactivity fees, withdrawal fees, currency conversion fees - it all eats into your returns. I wish I had read the terms more carefully.
