Underwhelming returns for the fees charged

I've been invested in Franklin Templeton Canada funds for two years and my returns have consistently lagged the benchmark indices. Given the management fees I'm paying, I expected active management to at least match passive funds. Currently reviewing whether to switch to lower-cost index funds.

Pros: Brand name recognition, diverse fund range

Cons: Underperformance relative to benchmarks, high fees

Strong research capabilities

Franklin Templeton Canada\'s research team produces excellent market commentary and investment analysis. Their model portfolios are well-constructed and regularly rebalanced. Performance attribution is clearly presented. I've found their insights valuable for my own investment decisions.

Pros: Excellent research, good model portfolios

Cons: Could offer more educational content for retail investors

I've invested with Franklin Templeton Canada for over five years and have been very pleased with the performance across their equity and bond funds. Their ESG integration is genuine, not just marketing. Quarterly reports are detailed and transparent. Fund managers clearly communicate their strategy and positioning.

Pros: Strong performance, genuine ESG, transparent reporting

Cons: Minimum investments can be high for some funds

Franklin Templeton Canada has a proven track record over decades. Their core funds have performed well through various market cycles. I appreciate their focus on fundamental research rather than chasing short-term trends. The client portal could be more user-friendly but the investment quality compensates.

Pros: Long track record, fundamental research approach

Cons: Client portal needs modernization
