Paid premiums to Direct Line for years without any issues. When I finally needed to make a legitimate claim, they found every possible reason to reduce the payout. The process took three months, involved multiple assessors, and the final settlement was far less than the replacement value. Very disappointing.

My initial quote from Direct Line was very competitive. However, the renewal price was 30% higher with no claims made. Had to phone and negotiate to get a reasonable price. The policy itself is fine but the practice of inflating renewal prices is frustrating and feels dishonest.
