Century Gold

The so-called education at Century Gold is just marketing. Every webinar ends with a push to deposit more. The market analysis is generic and often wrong. If you want real education go elsewhere. I wasted since last summer thinking they would help me learn.

I had a dispute with Century Gold and went to their complaints process. They have an internal team that just defends the company. Then they said I could go to an ombudsman - but the ombudsman they use is industry-funded and rarely rules for the client. The system is rigged.

I have been trying to close my account with Century Gold for weeks now and they keep giving me the runaround. First it was a form to fill out, then identity verification again, then a mandatory phone call that never gets scheduled. They make leaving impossible.

I found Century Gold after a friend recommended them and the initial impression was positive. But since early this year later, I have encountered so many issues that I cannot recommend them. Trades failing, charts not loading, and support tickets going unanswered for days at a time.

Century Gold had an outage that lasted several hours during a major market event. Not only did they fail to prevent it, but they also failed to communicate what was happening. We were left in the dark while our investments were at risk.

Century Gold locked my account without warning and demanded documents I had already submitted. since early this year later I still do not have access to my funds. Their compliance team does not respond to emails. I am considering legal action.

I joined Century Gold through word of mouth in my investment club and from the start, things felt off. The signup process collected far more personal information than necessary, the verification took unreasonably long, and when I finally got access, the platform was nothing like what was advertised.

The only good thing about Century Gold is that they remind you why regulation matters. I found them after my brother mentioned them. They are regulated in a jurisdiction with weak consumer protection. When things went wrong I had nowhere to turn. Stick to well-regulated brokers.

After for about ten months with Century Gold I requested to close my account and withdraw. They said I had to complete a 30-day cooling-off period. Then they said there was a minimum holding period for my last deposit. They make it as hard as possible to leave.

Century Gold offers copy trading. I copied a top trader. The copy trades often executed at worse prices than the original. When I asked why they said it was due to latency and liquidity. So the feature is broken or they are skimming. Either way I stopped using it.
