I gave Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets a fair chance. After for the past year and a half of usage, I can say with confidence that there are far better options available. The interface is clunky, the fees are higher than competitors, and the customer support team seems overwhelmed or understaffed.

Pros: Regular updates|Transparent fees

Cons: Some tools only available on higher tiers|No integrated tax optimization

No real market analysis

Do not be fooled by the professional-looking website. Behind the scenes, Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets is disorganized and incompetent. I found them through a podcast recommendation and I can only assume the positive reviews are either outdated or paid for because my experience was terrible.

Pros: Automated trading options|Dedicated account manager

Cons: Slow to add new assets

Support ghosted me

Do not believe the bonus offer from Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets. The turnover requirement is designed so you can never withdraw. I learned the hard way. I deposited after attending a webinar they hosted and the bonus terms were buried in pages of small print. My fault for not reading but their design is predatory.

Pros: Excellent charting|Transparent fees

Cons: Would like more payment methods|Currency conversion fee exists

CFD pitch was aggressive

After spending since early this year trying to make Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets work for me, I have given up. The platform has too many limitations, the fees are not competitive, and the quality of their market data is questionable. There are much better options available.

Pros: Intuitive for beginners|Dividend tracking|Clean UI

Cons: Spreads widen during volatile periods|Help articles are sometimes vague

Broken promises everywhere

Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets seems more interested in acquiring new customers than taking care of existing ones. The marketing is aggressive but the product is mediocre. Once you are past the honeymoon period, the cracks in their service become very apparent.

Pros: Multi-currency support|Responsive team|Tax reports included|Smooth onboarding

Cons: Currency conversion fee exists|Website design could be more modern

Total fraud - reported to authorities

I invested $3,500 with Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets after seeing their professional-looking website. At first, everything seemed fine - they showed me impressive returns on my dashboard. But when I tried to withdraw, they kept making excuses. First it was "processing time," then "verification needed," then "you need to pay a tax fee first." I never got my money back. I have since reported them to Financial Conduct Authority.

Cons: Withdrawal fees demanded|Communication cut off|Not authorized

Not regulated - verified this myself

Several red flags with Bitwise Assets / Bitwise-Assets: (1) They promise unrealistically high returns, (2) They're not registered with Financial Conduct Authority, (3) Their contact information is vague, (4) They pressure you to deposit quickly. I recommend everyone do thorough due diligence before investing with any company.

Cons: Unauthorized firm|Found in IOSCO warnings database
