Life-changing financial advice

Moneyfarm helped me create a comprehensive plan when I received a significant inheritance. They guided me through tax implications, investment allocation, charitable giving, and estate planning. Two years later, my wealth has grown substantially and I have complete confidence in the strategy. Truly life-changing advice.

Pros: Comprehensive guidance, tax planning, confidence in strategy

Cons: Services not available for smaller amounts

Good for high-net-worth clients

As an investor with a substantial portfolio, Moneyfarm provides the level of service and sophistication I expect. Their access to alternative investments and private equity is a differentiator. The annual strategy day is valuable. Only dock one star because reporting could be more frequent.

Pros: Alternative investments access, strategy days, sophisticated

Cons: Could report more frequently

Professional but expensive

The advice from Moneyfarm is sound and well-researched. However, the total costs including management fees, fund charges, and platform fees add up to more than I expected. Performance has been decent but after fees, the net return isn't dramatically different from what I could achieve with low-cost funds.

Pros: Professional advice, well-researched recommendations

Cons: Total costs reduce net returns significantly

Overpromised and underdelivered

I was sold a vision of bespoke wealth management but what I received felt more like a standardised service with a premium price tag. My so-called personalised portfolio looks suspiciously similar to their model portfolios. Returns have been below benchmark. Currently considering switching to a different provider.

Pros: Initially impressive onboarding

Cons: Standardised service at premium price, below-benchmark returns
